DESIGN PHILOSOPHY:
I believe that fashion is a tool which allows the wearer to feel empowered, authentic in themselves and unique amongst others when they step out into the world. It should ignite a sense of strength in who they are which leads them to stand tall.
I believe that fashion design my not always align with all contemporary ideas of sustainability, but rather focuses on the quality of craftsmanship to prolong the life of each garment, creating heirloom fashion that is for our time and the next.

My eponyms brand ‘Jamila’ designs fashion made to empower the wearer, making them feel 100% confident in who they are.
My brand is womenswear which focuses on elevated streetwear which meets evening-wear, when styled in different ways a garment can be transferred making the clothes very versatile.
